No Insurance? We Can Help
Your child will not be turned away if you do not have an insurance policy. Without insurance payment in full is expected at time of service. As a “Private Pay” patient we offer a prompt payment discount when paid in full at the time of service. At the Pediatric Center our priority is the health and wellness of your child.
CHIP and Medicaid
The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides comprehensive benefits for children. CHIP is an expansion program of Medicaid and includes the full Medicaid benefit package, including Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment services, including all medically necessary services like mental health and dental. If you have insurance with Medicaid, you may need to choose our clinic as a Primary Care Provider as part of their Healthy Connections Plan.
Uncovered Medical Procedures
There are some medical procedures that may not be covered by your insurance plan. If a procedure is not covered by your insurance you will be responsible for the full payment of these charges. For example, some insurance policies do not cover the circumcisions of newborn males and insurance will not help with these charges. You will be required to pay the appropriate fee before an uncovered medical procedure can be performed.
Paying for Health Care
We proudly accept most insurance and are here to help you manage health care costs if you are uninsured. Even with insurance, you will likely have medical expense you will need to pay for outside of what is covered by most health insurance plans. For ease of payment we offer the following payment options for your convenience:
- Personal Checks
- American Express
We understand health care can be an unexpected cost, if you have special financial needs, we are willing to work with you.
CareCredit is another great option for paying your medical bills. CareCredit is a healthcare specific credit card designed to help pay for health and wellness needs. This credit card differs from your typical Visa or MasterCard because it extends special financing options that may not be regularly available. With options to pay for health and wellness care at more than 200,000 enrolled providers, once approved you’ll be able to use this card again and again for your health and wellness needs.
High deductible insurance plans often have Health Savings Account (HSA) options. These savings accounts are tax deductible and are specifically for health care related cost outside of insurance coverage. A HSA is a great way to save funds for unexpected health care costs and make it easy to make payments.
